Phenomenological Approach

Attempt to understand the meaning of events and interactions to ordinary people in particular situations. Emphasises the interpretive understanding of human interactions. Shares a goal of understanding subjects from their own point of view. 'Point of view' is a research construct and may not represent 'how'. Emphasise the subjective, and subjective thinking. Approaching people with a goal of trying to understand their point of view, while not perfect, distorts the subject's experience the least.
